Audi RS Carbon Bucket Seats | OEM Frame, Dry Carbon Shell
Audi RS Carbon Bucket Seats
Designed for owners of Audi RS6, RS7, RSQ8, R8, and other top-tier RS performance models. Also compatible with the broader Audi A, S, and RS lineup (A4+, A5, A6, A7, A8, S4 through S8, RS3 through RS7, RSQ3 through RSQ8, R8, TT, e-tron GT).
Not sure which Audi RS seat option fits your build?
Choose Audi RS Carbon Bucket Seats if you want the highest material tier, including Premium Nappa Leather, Italian Alcantara, German Merino Leather, or Audi OEM-sourced upholstery.
Choose Audi RS Sport Bucket Seats if you want a complete pair of front bucket seats on Audi OEM frames at a more accessible price point, with premium microfiber upholstery and optional hand-laid carbon fiber backshells.
Choose Audi RS Bucket Seat Conversion Kit if you want to keep your original Audi seat frame, motors, airbag, wiring harness, and seat belt buckle, while converting the visible seat structure to an RS-style bucket seat layout.
This product is a complete pair of front bucket seats, delivered fully assembled. Each seat includes its own structural frame, bottom slider mechanism, headrest, and complete seat body. Built on a genuine Audi OEM frame with a dry carbon fiber shell. Unlike our Conversion Kit, no upholstery rework is required. Your installer performs a complete seat swap.
To install this product, you must work with a qualified installer (a trusted local automotive shop or an individual installer) who can perform seat removal, harness transfer, and any vehicle coding required. Installation typically takes 40 minutes to 2 hours per pair, depending on the number of installers and their experience level. CarbonXtreme does not cover or reimburse any additional labor costs that result from your installer's lack of familiarity with the product. We expect you to set realistic expectations before ordering and to have communicated with your local installer in advance. Installation success depends heavily on your installer's experience.
What this product includes: complete pair of front bucket seats (left and right), each with OEM frame, slider rails, headrest, full upholstery, dry carbon backshell, and the trim panel hardware.
What this product does not include:
- Main wiring harness (the harness running from the seat floor pickup). You will transfer your original main harness to the new seat. Heating and ventilation branch harnesses connected to those modules remain integrated on our seat.
- Seat belt buckle. You will need to transfer the seat belt buckle from your original seat to the new seat.
Why we ship without the main harness: Audi seat electrical configurations vary significantly across models and model years. The crash sensor alone has five variants across the Audi RS lineup. The illuminated seat belt buckle has four variants. We cannot supply a single "universal" harness that guarantees compatibility with every vehicle. Transferring your original main harness ensures the connectors and signal mapping match your exact vehicle configuration.
Important note for 2026 and later RS3 owners (and other recent dual-airbag models): Audi has adopted a dual-airbag seat design on select 2026 and later RS models. Please note your vehicle year and exact model in the order notes before placing your order. We will confirm compatibility with you before production begins.
Looking for a more accessible price point? Our Conversion Kit provides the same RS bucket aesthetic as a parts kit installed onto your existing factory seats, starting at $2,849.
Before You Order
Read the full product description before placing your order. Bucket seat installation is a custom build, and several configuration choices depend on details of your factory vehicle.
Understanding Your Configuration Options
Your seats are configured through three variant selections (Upholstery Material, Backshell Finish, Heating and Ventilation) and several preference fields. This section walks through each option so you know exactly what you are buying.
1. Upholstery Material
We offer three premium material tiers. The price difference reflects different customer preferences. All three tiers use the same RS bucket pattern and the same construction process.
Premium Nappa Leather / Italian Alcantara® (base price)
Full-grain cowhide Nappa, tanned and dyed using the chrome and aniline-pigment process developed in Napa Valley in 1875. Paired with authentic Italian Alcantara® brand microfiber suede, produced in Terni, Italy by Alcantara S.p.A. The same material specified in Audi RS, Porsche, Lamborghini, and BMW M factory programs.
Full-Grain Merino Leather (additional cost)
Full-grain Merino leather. The flagship-grade fine-grain leather offered by BMW Individual, the same grade specified in BMW M flagship bucket seat programs. For color reference see our BMW M Carbon Bucket Seats. OEM Spec product page.
Audi German OEM-Sourced (Made in Italy) (additional cost)
Sourced directly from the German Audi factory. The part itself is labeled "Made in Italy." This tier uses genuine Dinamica® microfiber suede. If your Audi has microfiber-suede material on the center console saddle or door card inserts, that material is most likely Dinamica.
Stock availability is not guaranteed. Lead time for this tier could be significantly longer than the other two. Please contact our customer service before ordering to confirm current availability.
For animal-free microfiber options at a mid-tier price point, see our Audi RS Sport Bucket Seats, starting at $5,499.
2. Backshell Finish
What this controls: the visible hard shell on the back of the seat. Visible to rear passengers and from outside through the windows. All finishes use real carbon fiber.
Hand-Laid Carbon Fiber (Wet-Lay Overlay)
Real carbon fiber cloth, hand-laid in multiple layers, cured, and finished with a clear lacquer coat. Visible surface and weave pattern are real carbon fiber.
- Hand-Laid Carbon Fiber Matte
- Hand-Laid Carbon Fiber Gloss
- Hand-Laid Forged Carbon Fiber
- Hand-Laid Carbon Fiber White Crosshatch
- Hand-Laid Carbon Fiber RR-Style
- Hand-Laid Carbon Fiber Other Premium Pattern (Contact Us)
Pre-Preg Autoclave-Cured Dry Carbon Fiber (default for this tier)
Pre-impregnated dry carbon fiber, autoclave-cured. The same construction method used in OEM Audi carbon parts and motorsport composite components. Lightest weight, deepest weave clarity.
- Pre-Preg Dry Carbon Fiber Matte
3. Heating and Ventilation
What this controls: which factory electronic functions your new seats support.
- Without Heating and Ventilation (base). For vehicles without factory heating or ventilation, or owners who do not require those functions.
- Heating Only (additional cost). Heating elements integrated. For vehicles with factory heating that need to retain function.
- Ventilation Only (additional cost). Ventilation channels and fans integrated. Requires perforated upholstery.
- Heating and Ventilation (additional cost). Both functions integrated. Requires perforated upholstery.
Important: Your vehicle must already have the factory Heating or Ventilation modules wired for this to work as a plug-and-play swap. If your factory seat did not originally have Heating or Ventilation, ask your installer about retrofit coding compatibility before ordering. We supply hardware only. All coding and local compliance is your installer's responsibility.
4. Quilting Style
What this controls: the material layout and stitch pattern of your seat.
- RS6 GT Style. Suede-forward layout: the seat back and cushion center are upholstered in microfiber suede, with leather on the side bolsters. Honeycomb stitching throughout. Note: perforation is not recommended for this style, as suede center panels do not produce a clean perforation visual.
- RSQ3 Style. Leather-forward layout: the seat back and cushion center are upholstered in leather, with microfiber suede on the side bolsters. Honeycomb stitching throughout.
- Custom (describe in notes). In Additional Notes, describe your preferred pattern, your preferred leather-and-suede layout, or any color adjustments. Custom patterns, layouts, or color choices may incur additional cost. We will confirm feasibility and price before processing your order.
5. Headrest Trim Panel
What this controls: the plastic trim panel at the "neck" between the headrest and the seat backrest.
Twenty-two factory Audi logo options are offered (RS, RS3, RS4, RS5, RS6, RS6 GT, RS7, RS Q3, RS Q5, RS Q8, RS e-tron GT, S3, S4, S5, S6, S7, S8, SQ5, SQ7, SQ8, R8, quattro). Select the logo that matches your model, or any Audi logo you prefer.
Custom is free for Audi-family logos. Personalized text and non-Audi logos incur additional cost. Describe your request in Additional Notes.
About the production method. Our headrest trim panel is a plastic part finished with applied decal under a clear lacquer coat. This differs from the OEM factory method (silkscreen printing). On close inspection, you may notice slight raised edges around the logo characters. This is normal for this finishing method.
If you require factory-correct OEM finish, we can source an original Audi OEM trim panel for you. Reference price: $849 for an RS-style OEM panel. Contact our customer service for the exact price for your chosen logo.
6. Rubber Ring Color
What this controls: the color of the two rubber rings that seat between the headrest trim panel and the backshell.
Default is Red. Other available colors: Black, Blue, Green. If you want a color outside this list, contact us first to confirm availability.
7. Stitching Color
What this controls: the thread color used across the upholstery.
Default is Red. Other commonly selected colors: Black, Beige, Silver, Copper, Berry Red. Specify any color in the text field.
Two-tone stitching is available on request. Contact our customer service before ordering to confirm pattern and color combination.
About color matching. Stitching color is matched as closely as possible to your specification, but exact color matching cannot be guaranteed due to thread supplier batch variation. We always aim for the closest available match.
We do not accept return requests based on stitching-color deviation within the same color family. If you require 100% factory-correct color matching, please order the Audi German OEM-Sourced upholstery tier.
8. Perforation
What this controls: whether the seat center panels have perforation holes.
- Perforated. Holes punched through the center panels. Required for seats with ventilation function. Also chosen for visual or breathability preference.
- Solid (No Perforation). No holes. Cleaner visual appearance, no ventilation function.
Note for suede surfaces: If you select RS6 GT Style in Quilting Style, the seat center will be suede. We do not recommend perforation for this style, as suede materials are thinner than leather and the perforation visual on suede may not meet your expectations.
9. Forged Pattern (visible only when Backshell Finish is Hand-Laid Forged Carbon Fiber)
What this controls: the variant of the forged carbon pattern. Forged carbon is made from chopped carbon fiber pieces laid in random orientation, producing an irregular marbled visual.
- Forged Plain. Standard forged carbon with no color flakes.
- Forged with White Flake. White flakes mixed into the forged carbon.
- Forged with Blue Flake. Blue flakes mixed into the forged carbon.
- Forged with Green Flake. Green flakes mixed into the forged carbon.

Two-Door Coupe
For Audi two-door coupes where the front seat folds forward for rear access (A5, S5, RS5 Coupe, TT, R8, and similar), please contact our customer service before ordering. The production process differs for these vehicles, and we have additional details to confirm with you.
How Installation Works
This is a complete-seat swap, simpler than the Conversion Kit retrofit:
- Your installer removes your factory seats from the vehicle.
- Your installer transfers the wiring harness from your original seats to our new seats. All connectors are clip-based. No cutting, no splicing.
- Your installer installs the new seats into the vehicle. Your car's electrical system sees the same connections it always had.
- Coding may still be required in some configurations, but is not the standard expectation. Your installer will confirm during the install.
About choosing an installer. We provide after-sales support to your installer, but we do not recommend ordering if your installer has no prior experience with Audi seat work and vehicle coding. We do not have the customer-service resources to teach your installer how to assemble the seats from zero, step-by-step. If any issues arise during installation, please contact us.
Vehicle Compatibility
Fits nearly all Audi factory seats and Audi models. For relatively older vehicles or rare models, we recommend contacting our customer service before ordering to confirm fitment.

FAQs
Please read our FAQs page to find out more.
Will these actually fit my Audi?
If your platform appears in our compatibility list and you can share a few photos of your current seats, the answer is yes. We confirm fitment with you before production starts, on whichever channel you reached us on, or by email if we initiated contact.
Other sellers say plug-and-play. Why do you not?
Because Audi seat systems use 7 or more variants of occupancy sensor, 5 or more variants of crash sensor, and 4 variants of illuminated seat belt buckle, plus multiple harness configurations. We do not claim to pre-match all of them. Seat belt buckles are not included. You transfer your original one over. Your installer also transfers the original wiring loom from your existing seat to the new one. Clip-in connectors, no cutting, typically under an hour.
What does my installer need to do?
Your installer handles seat removal and harness transfer (clip-in connectors from your original seat, no cutting). When the original wiring loom transfers cleanly, post-install coding is generally not required. Certain configurations may still need a VCDS or OBD11 reset, and we flag this during pre-production if it applies to your case. Final outcome depends on the actual install.
Production and shipping timeline
Production: 7 to 14 days for standard configurations. Backorder periods or complex custom selections may take longer, and we tell you the expected timing during pre-production confirmation.
Shipping options after production:
- Air Freight: Est. 10 to 15 business days
- Sea Freight Express: Est. 14 to 22 business days
- Sea Freight Standard: Est. 33 to 42 business days
Sea freight timelines are estimates. Actual delivery may vary depending on sailing schedules, customs inspection, and routing conditions. Specific shipping rates are shown at checkout based on your order weight and destination.
Packaging varies by configuration. Full seat assemblies ship in wooden crates with truck-based last-mile delivery (forklift required). Parts kits ship in protective packaging. If you want the order delivered directly to your installation shop, enter the shop address as the shipping address at checkout.
How close will the stitching color match my OEM interior?
We source thread directly from Audi’s OEM supplier. Slight color variation is possible because Audi’s own vehicle production lines use different material batches across factories. In most cases the variation is not visually detectable in normal use, but please set this expectation before ordering.
What if there is a workmanship issue after install?
If our assembly causes an issue revealed during or shortly after install, for example upholstery detaching or a component not fitted correctly, and you need a shop to address it within 14 days of install, we contribute toward the labor cost. Document the issue and contact us before proceeding with the shop work.
Where does it ship from and will I owe import duties?
You do not pay import duties or customs clearance fees. They are handled by us as part of your shipping rate. Due to the nature of these seats, components carrying Audi-branded elements (such as RS logo trim panels) may ship separately (no additional fee) for compliance reasons.
What happens after I place my order?
After your order, our team manually confirms every detail with you, including vehicle platform, factory functions, finish selection, and delivery address, and only then does production start. You stay on one communication channel with the same team from pre-sale through delivery.
