Refund policy
At CarbonXtreme, we aim to deliver premium products and a clear, fair after-sales experience. The policy below explains when returns are accepted and how refunds are processed.
1) Eligibility Window
- Return/refund requests are accepted within 14 days from the date of delivery.
- After 14 days, returns and exchanges are not available.
2) Return Eligibility
- Defective / Incorrect Item: Eligible where a significant defect, misdescription, or incorrect item is confirmed to be our error.
- Original Condition & Packaging: Items must be unused, uninstalled, and returned in the original packaging with all hardware, films, and inserts.
- Proof of Purchase: Order number or valid purchase proof is required.
- Products showing signs of installation or use (including drill/sand marks or modifications) are not eligible for return/refund.
Note: Professional installation for carbon fiber components is recommended. Labor costs for installation, removal, or re-installation are not covered.
3) Material & Craft Characteristics
- Wet Carbon: Due to its manufacturing characteristics and long-distance transit, minor flexibility or warp may be present on arrival, and light adjustment/reinforcement during installation can be required. Industry-standard practices such as minor alignment, reinforcement, or using self-tapping screws are considered acceptable solutions. Requests for return/refund solely due to these installation accommodations are not treated as quality issues.
- Dry Carbon: Dimensional stability and fitment are a priority. Where we verify a material deformation or structural twist that prevents correct installation under reasonable installation procedures, we will support replacement or return per this policy. Normal tolerance-range variances, cosmetic fine-tuning, or issues caused by improper installation do not constitute defects.
4) Non-Returnable Items
- Custom or personalized items (e.g., weave patterns, surface finishes, paint, engraving).
- Installed, used, modified, or damaged items.
- Final-sale/clearance items (when indicated on the product page).
- Damage caused by improper storage/transport/installation.
- Bundles/Kits: Must be returned as a complete, unused set. Partial returns may be declined or refunded with proportional deductions.
5) Compensation for Delays
- If actual delivery is significantly beyond the communicated timeframe due to our fault, we may offer reasonable compensation (e.g., coupons, store credit, or partial refunds) by mutual agreement.
6) Return Procedure (RMA Required)
- Request Authorization: Email sales@carbonxtrem.com with order number, description of the issue, and clear photos/video.
- Receive Instructions: Once approved, we will issue an RMA number and provide the correct return address (do not ship to the label sender address).
- Packing: Repack using the original packaging and protective materials; mark the RMA number on the outer carton.
- Shipping Method: Use a trackable, insured service. Returns without tracking are at the shipper’s risk.
RMA validity: Please dispatch the return within 10 business days of receiving the RMA. Late shipments may require a new authorization.
7) Damaged on Arrival / Shortage (DOA)
- For damage, shortage, or wrong item on arrival, contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the outer carton, inner packaging, and the product, plus your waybill and order number.
- Once confirmed, we will arrange a replacement, reshipment, or refund as appropriate and cover reasonable return shipping where applicable.
8) Inspection & Refunds
- Inspection is completed within 3–5 business days after we receive the return; the approval result will be emailed to you.
- Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 7–10 business days. In some cases, store credit or vouchers may be offered.
- If the item is not in resalable condition (e.g., packaging damage, missing accessories, surface scratches), we may decline the return or deduct reasonable refurbishment/missing-parts fees.
- Shipping fees are non-refundable. If duties/fees are incurred for us to accept the return in customs, any amounts advanced by us may be deducted from the refund.
9) Change-of-Mind Cancellations
- Contact us within 12 hours of placing the order to modify or cancel; shipments cannot be cancelled once dispatched.
- For customer-initiated cancellations due to personal reasons, we reserve the right to deduct applicable shipping, payment processing, and handling costs from the refund.
10) No Returns Without Cause
- Given the cost of international logistics, we do not support no-reason returns (e.g., changed mind, vehicle sold, wrong model purchased).
- In such cases, we recommend resale through appropriate channels. If a return is still requested, round-trip shipping and warehouse/handling fees will be deducted from any refund.
11) Return Shipping Costs
- Except where there is a confirmed serious defect or our shipping error, return shipping is paid by the customer.
- Unauthorized returns may be refused or treated as abandoned.
12) Exchanges
- We do not process direct exchanges. Please place a new order and submit a return request for the original item in accordance with this policy.
13) General
- Once the carrier marks a shipment as Delivered, the order is considered fulfilled and risk transfers to the recipient.
- We reserve the right to select or substitute an equivalent carrier/service without reducing service quality.
- To protect customers against fraud, some orders may require additional verification, which can affect processing times.
