Carbon Bucket Seats Cannot Be Restored. Protect Them Before It Matters.
Entry and exit, seatbelt contact, and thigh pressure hit the same zones every time: bolster edges, thigh panels, and shoulder areas. The damage builds up long before it becomes visible. Once carbon bucket seat surfaces wear through, replacement is the only option.
CarbonXtreme protectors cover the five highest-wear zones with color-matched Merino leather or Alcantara panels, precision-fitted to OEM seat geometry. Non-destructive. Fully reversible.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know which color to order?
Compare your seat color against the product photos and color options shown on each product page. Select the option that best matches your interior. If your BMW was ordered with a named interior color (Kyalami Orange, Yas Marina Blue, Silverstone, Fiona Red, Ivory White, Fjord Blue, Tartufo, or CS/Toobox), select that color directly from the available options.
What is the difference between Strap Visible and Strap Tucked?
Both options use the same protective panel. The difference is how the securing strap is finished. Strap Visible leaves the strap tab exposed at the seat edge. Strap Tucked inserts the strap into the gap between the leather upholstery and the carbon fiber seat shell for a clean, seamless appearance. A small installation tool is included with every Strap Tucked order to help seat the strap cleanly. Choose Strap Tucked for a minimal, OEM-flush look; choose Strap Visible if you plan to remove and refit the protector frequently.
Do I need Standard Routing (M3) or Retaining Guide (M2/M4)?
G80 M3 uses Standard Routing. The shoulder protector sits against the upper bolster to prevent the seatbelt from abrading the seat surface over time. If your seat is positioned far back and the belt clears the bolster without contact, this is less critical, though most driving positions benefit from it.
G87 M2 and G82 M4 use the Retaining Guide version. These models do not have a motorized seatbelt presenter, making the belt harder to reach when getting in. The Retaining Guide holds the belt in a fixed, accessible position, making it easier to grab each time while also protecting the shoulder area from belt abrasion. Please select the correct version when ordering. The wrong version will not fit correctly.
Do I need 1pc, 2pcs, or 4pcs?
1pc protects the outer side of the driver seat (the primary entry and exit side). 2pcs can be configured two ways: driver outer and passenger outer (protecting the entry side of both seats), or the outer and inner of a single seat (either driver or passenger, your choice) for full single-seat coverage. 4pcs covers the inner and outer sides of both seats for complete protection.
Are protectors more useful on track days?
Track days are the highest-wear scenario for your seats. Multiple sessions mean repeated entry and exit, concentrating belt friction and thigh pressure on the same contact zones each time. Protectors are more valuable on track, not less. Keep them on throughout the day.
Can I mix colors across different protectors?
Technically yes, but we do not recommend it. Each protector is color-matched to your OEM interior stitching and panel tone. Mixing colors creates visible contrast between adjacent panels. For a cohesive, factory-integrated look, all protectors should use the same interior color.
Do the cushion protectors also cover the backrest?
No. The cushion protectors , including those designed for Porsche seats, BMW comfort seats (non-M bucket seats), and M3 rear seats , protect the seat cushion area only (the surface you sit on). The backrest is not covered. For bolster and backrest protection on M bucket seats, see our bolster protector range.
Why Carbon Bucket Seats Need Protection
BMW carbon bucket seats are lightweight and rigid, but their exposed bolsters and shoulder areas are especially vulnerable to daily wear. Thigh bolsters suffer during entry and exit, lumbar edges take side-load stress, and shoulder zones experience constant seatbelt rub.
CarbonXtreme protectors are precision-shaped to follow OEM seat geometry, using color-matched Merino leather or Alcantara panels. The result is targeted protection with a clean, integrated appearance, installed using non-destructive methods for street or track use.
