Custom BMW G80 M3 G82 M4 G87 M2 Forged Carbon Fiber LED Steering Wheel | Made to Order, White Perforated Leather

This is a custom forged carbon fiber steering wheel for the BMW G80 M3, G82 M4 and G87 M2, built to order for your car. It pairs forged carbon fiber with an LED shift light strip in the top rim, white perforated leather grips, a white leather airbag cover and white stitching.

Lead time
Each wheel is made to order and ships 21 to 41 days after your order is placed, about 30 days on average. The exact time depends on how many builds are in the queue when you order.

Built for your car, one wheel at a time
Every wheel is built after the order is placed, from the details of your car. Before production starts, we confirm your model and year, steering side, cruise control type, heated steering, lane departure vibration, shift paddles and a photo of your current wheel. The wheel is then built to match those options instead of being picked from a shelf and hoped to fit.

LED shift lights
The LED strip in the top rim reads engine speed through an OBD module, included with the wheel, that plugs into your car's OBD port.

Design
The leather is a clean white with perforated grips. It is not BMW Ivory White or Silverstone, and it is not matched to the BMW Merino leather range. In an Ivory or Silverstone interior it will read as a separate shade of white. The photos show this wheel with buttons and shift paddles fitted.

Fitment
Shown here for the BMW G80 M3, G82 M4 and G87 M2. The same build is available for most other BMW models, with the base wheel sourced to suit your car. A photo of your current wheel is enough for us to confirm it.

M1/M2 buttons
Transfer my factory M1/M2 buttons: for BMW M models. The M1/M2 buttons come off your current wheel and move to the new one.
Add M1/M2 retrofit module: for non-M BMW only. The module does not work on cars that already have factory M1/M2 buttons, which is why M models keep their original buttons.
No M1/M2 buttons: for non-M BMW owners who do not need the function. The wheel is built without M1/M2 buttons.

The retrofit module has two parts: one sits inside the steering wheel under the airbag cover, and the other is installed at the center console, which means the console trim has to come out. Please get in touch with us before ordering, and make sure your installer has experience with this kind of work.

Center trim
LCI wheels come with a new carbon fiber center trim as standard. If you would rather reuse the trim from your current wheel, the reuse option lowers the price by $100. Pre-LCI wheels have a different design that does not use this center trim.

Heating, vibration and driver assistance
Factory steering wheel heating is kept when your car has it. Heating cannot be added to a car that did not come with it. Lane departure vibration is kept when your car has it, using the vibration motor from your current wheel. Cars with Driving Assistant Professional and hands-on detection are supported.

Installation
Fitting a steering wheel means removing and refitting the airbag, which is a job for a professional workshop. Every wheel swap also needs coding afterwards to clear the airbag fault, on M and non-M cars alike. Your original buttons and vibration motor move from your current wheel to the new one, and the carbon fiber shift paddles come complete and replace your original paddles. Installation and coding are arranged and paid for by the customer, and CarbonXtreme does not cover installation labor costs.

What's included
Included: the forged carbon fiber steering wheel with white perforated leather grips, heated rim and LED shift light strip, the OBD module for the shift lights, carbon fiber shift paddles, the white leather airbag cover, a new carbon fiber center trim on LCI wheels unless you choose to reuse yours, and the M1/M2 retrofit module if selected. Not included: the airbag module, buttons and vibration motor, which move over from your current wheel.

Final inspection
Every finished wheel is inspected by us before it ships. If a wheel does not meet our standard, we hold it back and have it refinished or rebuilt, which can add time to the lead time. We ask for your understanding on this: a wheel that falls short of our standard does not ship.

Cancellation
This wheel is made to order. An order can be canceled for a full refund within 48 hours of placing your order. After 48 hours the build is in production, and a cancellation is refunded after deducting the materials and labor already used, depending on how far the build has progressed.
