An OEM-inspired bucket seat configuration referencing the Audi RS3 Competition Limited, a 750-unit anniversary edition built to celebrate 50 years of the Audi five-cylinder engine. Made to order on our Audi RS bucket seat platform.

Important: Reference-Based Reproduction Notice

This Edition is our interpretation of the OEM design based on publicly available reference images and our production capabilities. We work to match the original design as closely as possible across material category, color, stitching, and quilting pattern. The final product may have minor variations from the OEM in stitching depth, dye saturation, material texture, surface finish, or detail edge work. We do not claim 100 percent identical reproduction of the OEM seat. If exact factory specification is required for your build, contact us before ordering to review production samples.

Configuration (Fixed to Edition Specification)

This Edition ships with the following fixed specification. Configuration is not user-selectable on this SKU. For made-to-order configuration with full variant choice, see our standard Audi RS Sport Bucket Seats or Audi RS Carbon Bucket Seats product pages.

  • Upholstery, side bolsters and seat back: Black Premium Nappa Leather
  • Upholstery, cushion and seat back centers: Microfiber suede (Dinamica® OEM-category), custom-dyed Neodymium Gold. The OEM RS3 Competition Limited uses certified Dinamica® manufactured by MIKO S.r.l. in Gorizia, Italy. Our reproduction uses the same microfiber suede material category, custom-dyed to the OEM Neodymium Gold tone.
  • Quilting Style: Diamond pattern across cushion and back center panels
  • Stitching: Ginger White contrast stitching
  • Backshell: Select from the variant menu. Default starts with Hand-Laid Carbon Fiber Matte. Hand-Laid Carbon Fiber Gloss is the same price. Forged Carbon Fiber, White Crosshatch, RR-Style, and Other Premium Pattern variants carry a small surcharge. Pre-Preg Autoclave-Cured Dry Carbon Fiber Matte is the top backshell option.
  • Headrest trim panel: RS3 logo (substitution available on request)
  • Perforation: Diamond center panels perforated for visual consistency with OEM design (ventilation function not installed)
  • Side airbags: Included and pre-integrated into the seat
  • Heating: Included by default. If you do not want the heating function, contact customer service before ordering.
  • Ventilation: Not included by default. The OEM Diamond pattern would be altered by the perforation required for ventilation airflow, so perforation is not applied on the default Edition. If you require ventilation, perforation pattern must be added (which changes the OEM Diamond visual). Contact customer service before ordering if ventilation is required.

Vehicle Compatibility

Confirmed compatibility covers Audi B8, B9, B10, C7, C8 platforms, and Q5, Q7, Q8 models sharing the same seat architecture. The donor frame for this Edition is a standard A6-platform frame. For RS3 8Y or 8V platform fitment, contact customer service with your VIN to confirm compatibility before ordering. The donor frame architecture may differ from the original RS3 chassis.

About the Reference OEM

The Audi RS3 Competition Limited was unveiled to celebrate the 50-year anniversary of the legendary five-cylinder engine. Limited to 750 units worldwide, the model carries an exclusive interior with deep RS bucket seats, Dinamica microfiber center panels in Neodymium Gold, contrast stitching in Ginger White, and a diamond-pattern quilting on the seat centers. The exterior was offered in Malachite Green (a nod to the 1983 Audi Sport Quattro), Daytona Gray, and matte Glacier White.

Installation Notes

This is a complete-seat swap. Your installer needs to:

  1. Remove your factory seats.
  2. Transfer the main wiring harness and seat belt buckles from your original seats to these.
  3. Install the new seats. Clip-in connectors, no cutting or splicing.

Coding may still be required in some configurations, but is not the standard expectation. Your installer will confirm during the install. Allow several hours of installer labor for a complete install.

Production & Shipping

Production time: 7 to 14 days for standard configurations. We confirm the exact timing with you during pre-production review.

Shipping options after production:

  • Air Freight: $1,450 | Est. 10 to 15 business days
  • Sea Freight Express (recommended): $700 | Est. 14 to 22 business days
  • Sea Freight Standard: $500 | Est. 33 to 42 business days

Sea freight timelines are estimates. Actual delivery may vary depending on sailing schedules, customs inspection, and routing conditions. We update the estimated delivery window with you once your shipment is booked.

Packaging and last-mile delivery: Seats ship in wooden crates. Final delivery is truck-based and requires a forklift to offload at the receiving address. If you would prefer the seats delivered directly to your installation shop, enter the shop address as the shipping address at checkout.

Import duties: Duties and customs clearance are covered as part of your shipping rate (no additional fee). Components carrying Audi-branded elements (such as RS logo trim panels) may ship separately (no additional fee) for compliance reasons.

Will these actually fit my Audi?

If your platform appears in our compatibility list and you can share a few photos of your current seats, the answer is yes. We confirm fitment with you before production starts, on whichever channel you reached us on, or by email if we initiated contact.

Other sellers say plug-and-play. Why do you not?

Because Audi seat systems use 7 or more variants of occupancy sensor, 5 or more variants of crash sensor, and 4 variants of illuminated seat belt buckle, plus multiple harness configurations. We do not claim to pre-match all of them. Seat belt buckles are not included. You transfer your original one over. Your installer also transfers the original wiring loom from your existing seat to the new one. Clip-in connectors, no cutting, typically under an hour.

What does my installer need to do?

Your installer handles seat removal and harness transfer (clip-in connectors from your original seat, no cutting). When the original wiring loom transfers cleanly, post-install coding is generally not required. Certain configurations may still need a VCDS or OBD11 reset, and we flag this during pre-production if it applies to your case. Final outcome depends on the actual install.

Production and shipping timeline

Production: 7 to 14 days for standard configurations. Backorder periods or complex custom selections may take longer, and we tell you the expected timing during pre-production confirmation.

How close will the stitching color match my OEM interior?

We source thread directly from Audi’s OEM supplier. Slight color variation is possible because Audi’s own vehicle production lines use different material batches across factories. In most cases the variation is not visually detectable in normal use, but please set this expectation before ordering.

What if there is a workmanship issue after install?

If our assembly causes an issue revealed during or shortly after install, for example upholstery detaching or a component not fitted correctly, and you need a shop to address it within 14 days of install, we contribute toward the labor cost. Document the issue and contact us before proceeding with the shop work.

Where does it ship from and will I owe import duties?

You do not pay import duties or customs clearance fees. They are handled by us as part of your shipping rate. Due to the nature of these seats, components carrying Audi-branded elements (such as RS logo trim panels) may ship separately (no additional fee) for compliance reasons.

What happens after I place my order?

After your order, our team manually confirms every detail with you, including vehicle platform, factory functions, finish selection, and delivery address, and only then does production start. You stay on one communication channel with the same team from pre-sale through delivery.
