When you order, you choose your steering side. Your vehicle's details and a photo of your current wheel are optional, and we confirm anything you skip after you order.

3 · Made to order

Your wheel ships 21 to 41 days after the order is placed, and orders can be canceled for a full refund within 48 hours.

Steering wheel FAQ

Does a new steering wheel need coding?

Yes. Every wheel swap means removing and refitting the airbag, and the vehicle needs coding afterwards to clear the airbag fault. This applies to M and non-M vehicles alike.

Who installs the wheel, and who covers the cost?

Fitting is a job for a professional workshop with BMW experience. Installation and coding are arranged and paid for by the customer, and CarbonXtreme does not cover installation labor costs.

Can a non-M BMW have M1/M2 buttons?

Yes, with the M1/M2 retrofit module for $110, which is installed at the center console. Vehicles that already have factory M1/M2 buttons keep their original buttons, as the module does not work on them. Non-M owners can also choose a wheel without M1/M2 buttons.

Can you make a different design?

Yes. Most designs can be built for most BMW models. Send us a photo of the wheel you want and a photo of your current wheel, and we reply with a quote.
