Choosing your options
Finish. This bar comes in gloss carbon as standard, sealed under our heat-resistant 2K clear coat with UV absorbers. You can also add our Full Thermal Clear Coat, where the heat-resistant formulation runs through every layer rather than the outer one alone, the most durable finish we offer for the bay, for owners who want the longest life.
Bracket Finish. The CNC machined end brackets that clamp the bar to the strut towers come two ways. Choose machined Silver for a raw aluminum contrast against the dark weave, or anodized Black for an all stealth look. The carbon bar is the same either way.
The CarbonXtreme CSL Style Carbon Fiber Engine Bay Strut Bar takes its shape from the M4 CSL, the most focused car BMW builds on this platform. Where BMW renders that brace in metal, this is the same idea in dry carbon fiber: lighter, stronger than it looks, and finished to be seen.
A strut bar ties the tops of the front strut towers together, so the front end flexes less under hard cornering and the steering stays truer to your input. The CSL form does it with more drama than a plain bar, sitting high and wide as the centerpiece of the bay.
Compatibility: The CSL bar occupies the same space as our Carbon Fiber Air Intake Covers and cannot be fitted alongside them. If you want the intake covers and a strut bar together, our Front and Rear Brace strut bar is shaped to clear them. Contact us before ordering if you are unsure of your setup.
Fitment: BMW G80 M3 (2021 and up), G82 M4 (2021 and up), and G87 M2 (2023 and up), all on the S58 engine. One bar fits all three, bolting to the factory strut tower mounting points.
Construction: Genuine dry carbon, prepreg carbon fiber cured under pressure in an autoclave, the way OEM and motorsport parts are made, not the hand-laid wet carbon that gives itself away up close. The few fine surface pinholes any weave can leave are filled before the clear coat goes on, far fewer than a hand-laid part needs. Where our tri-color bar is about a flash of color, this one is about the shape, the most aggressive brace in the range and the piece that sets the tone for the whole bay. You can feel it through the wheel and see it the moment the hood goes up.
Install: Bolts to the factory strut tower mounts with basic tools, fully reversible, no modification.

Every part ships with our standard finish: the weave filled and leveled by hand, then disciplined coats of UV-stable clear laid to a real thickness, already at or past the best on the market. For the large exterior panels, an optional Concours finish goes further, built up and leveled to a mirror depth meant to rival anything on a supercar. It is slow, costly, and built only on request. Will this fit my exact model, trim, and year (LCI/Pre-LCI, M Sport vs. base)?
Yes—fitment follows OEM geometry. At checkout we require your vehicle details (model/year, trim, LCI/Pre-LCI, bumper type/photos) and perform a second verification. If your selection doesn’t match your vehicle, we’ll alert you before fulfillment to correct it.
What if I have aftermarket bumpers or prior bodywork?
Aftermarket bumpers and vehicles with prior collisions or repairs (even minor scrapes) can alter mounting geometry, which may cause installation difficulty. We’ve seen cases where a previous accident left the bumper deformed, making parts hard to seat—this is not a product defect. Please have your installer inspect mounting points before ordering.
Do I need to drill or cut?
Dry carbon: installs via factory mounting points; no drilling is generally required, except some rear wings that may require trunk drilling.
Wet carbon: due to process characteristics and possible deformation during transit or humidity changes, self-tapping screws may be needed to secure fitment.
Will the carbon tone match if I replace a single piece later?
Single-piece replacements are available. Minor batch-to-batch tone variance is normal; for perfect symmetry on L/R paired parts, replacing as a set is recommended. If you purchased from us and later damaged a part in a collision, send photos— we can usually offer a returning-customer discount on the replacement.
Will sensors, radar, PDC, and tow-hook access still work?
Some carbon grilles include pre-cut radar/PDC windows. Please review product photos carefully or provide OEM front-end photos before ordering. We typically re-confirm before shipment. If a misread leads to the wrong variant being ordered, exchanges are possible, but additional shipping costs may apply.
Can I choose gloss vs. matte or request specific finish options?
Standard is our multi-layer, UV-stable gloss clear. Matte and special finishes can be built to order; lead time will differ.
What’s included in the box? Will I need extra hardware or tape?
Each product page lists what’s included. Vehicle-specific clips/brackets are included when required; high-bond tape or fasteners are provided where applicable. If an item needs OE hardware reuse, we’ll state it clearly.
What happens if my item arrives damaged?
You’re covered. Contact us within 48 hours with photos of the outer box, inner packaging, labels, and the part. We’ll arrange a replacement or a fair resolution at no extra cost. Keep the packaging until we confirm next steps.
