BMW Quick-Release Steering Wheel Hub (OEM Protocol)

Built for BMW E/F/G chassis, this OEM-protocol quick-release steering wheel hub system is designed for clean signal integration and reliable control mapping. It communicates through the vehicle’s CAN/LIN network via an OEM protocol controller, and uses an in-house integrated circuit board to reduce compatibility variables and help avoid unnecessary fault codes (final behavior depends on vehicle specification and confirmed configuration).

The hub fits mainstream aftermarket steering wheels using common bolt patterns, including popular brands such as MOMO and OMP. If you are using a special bolt pattern or a non-standard wheel design, please send us the wheel brand and model for verification before ordering.

Depending on your vehicle configuration, the system can support steering-wheel engine start, one-button exhaust valve open/close control, and M1/M2 drive mode switching. For certain non-M BMW G-chassis 3 Series vehicles, M1/M2 support is an additional custom option and requires VIN verification through customer support. The system also includes reserved expansion interfaces for future feature modules.

RGB backlit buttons are standard, with adjustable color and brightness. In addition to retaining OEM multi-function logic, the system includes extra programmable buttons that can be mapped using the provided software (available functions depend on vehicle specification and configuration). The wheel face is supplied with no logo by default; custom logos are available on request. Magnetic paddle shifters are included as standard for a more positive, consistent tactile return. The kit also includes an airbag warning light bypass/resistor lead to help prevent the airbag light from illuminating (application depends on vehicle and installation method).

Installation is safety-critical and should be performed by a professional automotive workshop. Typical installation time is approximately 20–30 minutes (varies by model and configuration). At checkout, please leave full vehicle details—chassis, model year, trim/spec, and LHD/RHD—so we can verify compatibility and confirm the correct configuration before dispatch. BMW M models are supported by default; non-M BMWs or other vehicle brands require a confirmed custom setup via customer support.
