CarbonXtreme BMW G90 M5 Dry Carbon Fiber ECU Battery Terminal Cover
Precision Carbon Coverage for G90 M5 Rear Engine Bay
CarbonXtreme’s BMW G90 battery terminal cover is designed to protect and complete the appearance of your M5’s rear engine bay zone, where the battery and ECU junction terminal are housed. This area is often overlooked in factory form—now upgraded with a dry carbon solution engineered for both performance and aesthetics.
Crafted from 100% dry carbon fiber, this terminal cover is extremely lightweight yet highly durable under high-heat and high-vibration conditions. It is developed through 1:1 comparison with original factory parts to ensure perfect fitment, wrapping around the electrical enclosure with smooth transitions and tight tolerances. Whether you’re building for show or function, this panel completes the engine bay with symmetry and carbon style.
Each terminal cover is engineered not just for looks, but to withstand real-world usage. Dry carbon fiber offers superior rigidity and thermal stability, making it ideal for high-performance engine bays where electrical modules are exposed to radiant heat and constant vibration. Unlike generic plastic trim or adhesive caps, CarbonXtreme’s one-piece molded design hugs the contours of the OEM enclosure without warping or interference.
The weave layout of the carbon fiber is directionally aligned for strength and visual balance, ensuring consistency across your engine bay build. Whether you’re displaying your M5 at events, preparing a detailed photoshoot, or simply take pride in every bolt under the hood, this cover provides the final polish that separates true craftsmanship from off-the-shelf mods.
As part of CarbonXtreme’s philosophy, every panel is pre-fit tested on actual G90 chassis before production release—ensuring zero surprises at installation. And with support for both matte and gloss finishes, you can easily integrate it into any stage build, from stealth OEM+ to full carbon show car setups.
The BMW G90 battery terminal cover is available for both Left-Hand Drive (LHD) and Right-Hand Drive (RHD) vehicles. Two surface finish options are offered: matte for a muted, technical look, or gloss for a rich carbon weave highlight.
This cover integrates seamlessly with other CarbonXtreme bay components, including side vent covers, corner panels, fuse box trims, and the radiator shroud. It helps shield terminal points from dust, heat, and incidental contact while elevating the rear corner bay visuals.
Installation is quick and completely reversible. Simply align with factory mount points or use included clip-in hardware. No drilling or ECU harness modification is required.
Whether part of a full bay upgrade or as a standalone enhancement, this BMW G90 battery terminal cover brings refinement and detail to an often-forgotten part of your build.

Upgrade with Confidence

Designed for Precision Fitment
Every CarbonXtreme part is developed from OEM CAD references and vehicle scans to match factory mounting geometry and edge radii. Metal tooling and dedicated jigs control hole positions and panel curvature, supporting consistent alignment across production runs. We engineer vehicle-specific clips and brackets for the original cavities to reduce trimming and rework. Each batch undergoes dry-fit checks and dimensional sampling before packaging to help installers achieve a predictable, secure fit.
Note: As composite aftermarket parts, minor adjustment may be required depending on vehicle history and bumper tolerances

Crafted for Lasting Clarity.
At CarbonXtreme, every carbon fiber part undergoes meticulous finishing to ensure premium quality and lasting durability. All products are coated with BASF Glasurit clear coat, applied in 3–4 layers to achieve a smooth, mirror-like surface with strong UV and yellowing resistance. This finishing standard is our foundation, providing customers with a level of refinement far beyond common aftermarket products.
Crafted for Lasting Clarity
For enthusiasts with higher expectations, we also offer a premium upgrade option: the Glasurit 923-447 (BASF) clear coat. Known for its scratch resistance and micro self-healing capability, this finish minimizes swirl marks under sunlight and delivers a showroom-grade gloss. Due to its demanding spray conditions and extended curing process, this option requires longer lead times and accounts for roughly 30% of the product’s value. It is reserved for customers who seek uncompromising quality and perfection.
No matter which option you choose, CarbonXtreme ensures that every piece reflects our pursuit of excellence—combining aesthetics, durability, and performance in one.

Customer Options & Support
We go beyond standard aftermarket solutions by offering customization options. Many of our front grilles and intake ducts can be equipped with protective mesh covers to prevent insect or debris intrusion. If the product you want does not include this option, our team can add it upon request.
For larger panels such as carbon fiber trunk lids or hoods, we also provide a pre-delivery vinyl wrap service. Choose your desired color or finish style, and we will apply it before shipment—saving time and labor in your market.
Additionally, for smaller parts like front lips or rear spoilers, some of our clients have requested and received protective films (clear or matte PPF) applied before shipment. This option is available upon request for those who want added surface protection.
Production & Delivery
Most of our products are made to order rather than kept in stock. Processing times may vary depending on the item, but we will always confirm an estimated delivery schedule with you after purchase. If you need faster delivery, please contact us—we will do our best to provide an accelerated option depending on factory and logistics availability.
Why CarbonXtreme
All of our products are finished with BASF Glasurit clear coat in 3–4 layers, delivering strong UV resistance and long-term gloss retention. For high-standard builds, we also offer an upgrade to PPG 447 clear coat for an even deeper, mirror-like shine.
Beyond strength and lightweight benefits, the real hallmark of premium carbon fiber is its surface flatness and visual refinement. Cheap parts often look wavy under direct light, while our finishing process creates a smooth, distortion-free reflection. This is what gives our dry carbon parts a visibly superior look—so refined that your friends will instantly recognize them as true high-end upgrades.
Warranty & Support
Every order is fully protected. If you receive a product that is damaged in transit or shows structural issues, we will immediately provide a replacement or arrange a fair solution. Just contact us with proof, and our team will handle the rest—you won’t be left bearing unnecessary losses. We are in this for the long run, and your second order is the highest recognition of our commitment.
FAQs
Please read our FAQs page to find out more.
Will this fit my exact model, trim, and year (LCI/Pre-LCI, M Sport vs. base)?
Yes—fitment follows OEM geometry. At checkout we require your vehicle details (model/year, trim, LCI/Pre-LCI, bumper type/photos) and perform a second verification. If your selection doesn’t match your vehicle, we’ll alert you before fulfillment to correct it.
What if I have aftermarket bumpers or prior bodywork?
Aftermarket bumpers and vehicles with prior collisions or repairs (even minor scrapes) can alter mounting geometry, which may cause installation difficulty. We’ve seen cases where a previous accident left the bumper deformed, making parts hard to seat—this is not a product defect. Please have your installer inspect mounting points before ordering.
Do I need to drill or cut?
Dry carbon: installs via factory mounting points; no drilling is generally required, except some rear wings that may require trunk drilling.
Wet carbon: due to process characteristics and possible deformation during transit or humidity changes, self-tapping screws may be needed to secure fitment.
Will the carbon tone match if I replace a single piece later?
Single-piece replacements are available. Minor batch-to-batch tone variance is normal; for perfect symmetry on L/R paired parts, replacing as a set is recommended. If you purchased from us and later damaged a part in a collision, send photos— we can usually offer a returning-customer discount on the replacement.
Will sensors, radar, PDC, and tow-hook access still work?
Some carbon grilles include pre-cut radar/PDC windows. Please review product photos carefully or provide OEM front-end photos before ordering. We typically re-confirm before shipment. If a misread leads to the wrong variant being ordered, exchanges are possible, but additional shipping costs may apply.
Can I choose gloss vs. matte or request specific finish options?
Standard is multi-layer BASF (Glasurit) gloss. Matte clear and special finishes can be built to order; lead time will differ.
What’s included in the box? Will I need extra hardware or tape?
Each product page lists what’s included. Vehicle-specific clips/brackets are included when required; high-bond tape or fasteners are provided where applicable. If an item needs OE hardware reuse, we’ll state it clearly.
What happens if my item arrives damaged?
You’re covered. Contact us within 48 hours with photos of the outer box, inner packaging, labels, and the part. We’ll arrange a replacement or a fair resolution at no extra cost. Keep the packaging until we confirm next steps.
What payment methods do you accept? Is it secure? Under which law?
We accept PayPal and Useepay, settling in USD via secure gateways with industry-standard encryption and fraud screening. Our Terms are governed by UK law.
